Lagos - President Bola Tinubu has embarked on a massive anti-corruption drive against some of the former appointees of his predecessor, ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, using the EFCC as his tool of justice.

The former officials are facing charges of looting public funds and abusing their offices during Buhari's administration.

Godwin Emefiele
He was the CBN governor from 2014 to 2023, serving under both Jonathan and Buhari. He was suspended by Tinubu shortly after he took office and was subsequently arrested by the EFCC. He was granted bail of N300 million by a court in Abuja, but his woes are far from over.
He is facing multiple allegations of financial fraud and mismanagement of the CBN's operations, as exposed by Jim Obazee, a special investigator appointed by Tinubu.
Umar-Farouk
She was the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development from 2019 to 2023, during Buhari's second term. She is being probed by the EFCC for allegedly diverting N37,170,855,753.44 meant for social welfare programs and disaster relief.
