Some of the high-profile names under scrutiny are:

Godwin Emefiele

He was the CBN governor from 2014 to 2023, serving under both Jonathan and Buhari. He was suspended by Tinubu shortly after he took office and was subsequently arrested by the EFCC. He was granted bail of N300 million by a court in Abuja, but his woes are far from over.

He is facing multiple allegations of financial fraud and mismanagement of the CBN's operations, as exposed by Jim Obazee, a special investigator appointed by Tinubu.

Umar-Farouk

She was the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development from 2019 to 2023, during Buhari's second term. She is being probed by the EFCC for allegedly diverting N37,170,855,753.44 meant for social welfare programs and disaster relief.
