A Celestial pastor who sparked controversy by inviting Pasuma and Portable to perform at his church program has explained his motive behind the decision. In a video that surfaced online, he said he wanted to use the secular singers to draw more people to the church and preach the gospel to them.

He said he had done the same thing with Saint Janet, another secular singer, and many people had been converted as a result of his preaching. He cited the example of his youth leader who came to see Saint Janet but changed and became a follower of Christ.

He also revealed that he had tried to invite some gospel singers in the past, but they had looked down on his church and asked for outrageous amounts of money. He said he did not invite Pasuma and Portable to entertain his members, but to reach out to the lost souls.

He stated that his church had a strict policy that prohibited drinking or any ungodly behavior during the praise night. He said he was not bothered by the criticism he received from other Christians, as he was only doing what God had instructed him to do.

The pastor's decision to invite Pasuma and Portable had caused a lot of backlash from the Christian community, who felt that it was inappropriate and disrespectful to have secular singers in the house of God. Some prominent Christian leaders had condemned the move and advised him to cancel the program.

However, the pastor said he had no intention of cancelling the program, as he had already paid the singers and booked the venue. He said he was ready to face any consequences that might arise from his action. He urged the public to pray for him and his church, rather than judge him.
