Mayorkun, the Nigerian singer whose real name is Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, has spoken out about his relationship with Davido, his former boss at DMW Records.

He made this revelation on the Tea With Tay podcast, hosted by actor and comedian Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, also known as Taymesan.
Mayorkun dismissed the rumours that he and Davido had a falling out after he left the record label. He said that he and Davido have “one of the best relationships” and that Davido understands him very well.
He added that the reason why some fans might think that they are not close is because he doesn’t flaunt his friendship with Davido on social media.
He said;
“Contrary to what other people think, I have one of the best relationships with Davido. I feel like he knows me and he understands the kind of person I am. If I dey vex for am now, he knows… Like do you understand? I’m not that difficult of a human being.
“It’s just that I’m not posting Davido every day, saying his my best friend that’s why some people think we are not cool. The relationship is not for you [fans]. You always forget that.”
